The Social Ministry Committee is sponsoring a food/household supply drive for our sister congregation Living Waters Lutheran Church in Cherokee. Items may be delivered to the church during office hours, which are Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. A member of the Social Ministry Committee will also be on hand from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Sundays April 18 and May 16 to assist in collecting items.
Items needed are: toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, bars of soap, deodorant (small), Kleenex/tissues, laundry detergent (small sizes), toilet paper, paper towels, canned vegetables, coffee, sugar, self rising flour, cereals, hamburger helper, canned meats, and other shelf stable foods. Items will be delivered to Living Waters in June when members of St. Andrew’s will also have the opportunity to participate in a workday at Living Waters.
Lenoir-Rhyne College Singers present The Seven Words From the Cross, which will be shared via Facebook at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31.
A Maundy Thursday service, with the stripping of the altar, will be streamed live via Facebook at 7:30 p.m.
Stations of the Cross will be offered at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 2 (outside) on the campus at Lenoir-Rhyne in front of Grace Chapel.
A prerecorded Tenebrae service will be shared on Facebook at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 2.
Worship will be held in the sanctuary at limited capacity and streamed live via Facebook at 11:00 a.m. It will also be broadcast on WLRZ 99.3 FM at 1:00 p.m. Please note, those choosing to attend in-person must still follow best practices for COVID safety, such as social distancing and wearing a mask.
